• The client reports reduce pain and states appropriate measure to enhance comfort and promote healing.
• The client exhibits adequate tissue perfusion and sensory function in the affected area.
• The client has improved physical mobility as evidenced by the ability to transfer himself safely and the ability to use assistive devices properly.
• The client has no signs or symptoms of systemic or local infection
• The client resumes normal activity without further injury after healing.
• The client demonstrates proper performance of prescribed rehabilitative exercises and safety precautions to prevent reinjury.
• The client maintains independence in self-care within limits of the injury and treatment plan.
• The client participates in self-care activities and activities of daily living as much as possible.
• The client verbalizes knowledge about the prescribed medications, cast care, dietary modifications and other prescribed treatments
• The client states signs and symptoms of further complications to watch for and report to the health care provider.
• The client reports a decrease in anxiety.
