• The client demonstrates increased tissue perfusion to the extremities, as evidenced by warm skin, improved skin color, decreased muscle pain with exercise, and palpable peripheral pulses.
• The client complies with measures to promote vasodilation and prevent vasoconstriction and trauma.
• The client increases physical mobility, gradually progressing to an optimal activity level while controlling pain-inducing activity.
• The client is able to tolerate self-care activities and reports decreased fatigue.
• The client reports freedom from pain and increased activity tolerance.
• The client maintains skin integrity.
• The client demonstrates resolution of the infectious process with the use of prescribed medications and the absence of signs and symptoms of systemic or local infection.
• The client projects an improved self-image and acknowledges positive changes in body image.
• The client verbalizes feelings and demonstrates appropriate coping skills in dealing with disorders of the peripheral vascular system.
• The client verbalizes an understanding of the disease process, preventive measures, treatments and signs and symptoms of complications that should be reported to the health care provider.
• The client complies with the medical treatment, medication therapy, activity restrictions, and follow-up visits with the health care provider.
